- Annotation: The purpose of this article is to explore the use of non-traditional methods of memorization (lexical units of the Russian language). Both traditional methods of text memorization and innovative memory techniques are analyzed. An attempt is made to analyze how these non-traditional approaches can help students of Russian language preparatory courses to learn vocabulary more effectively. The potential impact of methods such as mnemonic techniques, storytelling, visual imagery, and the use of modern technologies such as apps and multimedia resources on improving long-term memory is emphasized. The methodology for working with the terms described in the paper is well-suited for Chinese students who are studying both in the university's preparatory department and in the main courses, as well as in the master's and postgraduate programs. The focus is on teaching the language of a specialty in groups of a technical orientation. In conclusion, the article notes that although these methods are rarely mentioned in the university environment, they can significantly increase the effectiveness of teaching and the activity of students at the stage of learning professional vocabulary.
