- Annotation: The article presents the results of a study aimed at studying the role of subjective age as a modulator of the system of psychological resources in women experiencing a reproductive crisis. In a sample of 120 women aged 24 to 45 years with a diagnosis of infertility using a battery of psychodiagnostic techniques, the interrelationships of chronological age and components of subjective age (biological, emotional, social, intellectual) with indicators of the system of psychological resources were studied. There are three groups of women with underestimated, overestimated and adequate subjective age. It has been established that subjective age acts as a significant modulator of psychological adaptation. Women with an underestimated subjective age demonstrate the mobilization of adaptive resources (active coping strategies, positive basic beliefs), while an overestimated subjective age is associated with signs of maladaptation (passivity, negative worldview). An adequate age identity reflects psychological maturity and a balanced belief system. The results obtained confirm the hypothesis about the modulating role of subjective age and open up prospects for the development of differentiated psychological interventions for women undergoing infertility treatment.
