- Annotation: The article analyzes the phenomenon of professional success as an object of socio-psychological research. The relevance of the study of social concepts of professional success in a socio-psychological way is due to several factors. First, there is a shift from unified, normative career models to individualized and pluralistic trajectories, which makes the very concepts of success more complex and contradictory. Secondly, there is tension in the professional community of teachers between the traditional values of service and vocation and the modern requirements of efficiency, competitiveness and digital competence. Thirdly, the lack of a unified conceptual framework and operationalization of the phenomenon of “professional successˮ in empirical research makes it difficult to develop targeted programs for the support and development of teaching staff. The potential of S. Moscovici's theory of social representations for studying this construct is considered. The relevance of the study of social perceptions of professional success among applicants and students of pedagogical training fields in the context of solving the tasks of modernizing the education system of the Russian Federation and personnel policy is substantiated. The methodological guidelines of empirical research are described. The article emphasizes that the theoretical analysis demonstrates the high heuristic value of S. Moscovici's theory of social representations for studying the phenomenon of professional success in the teaching environment. The approach allows us to go beyond individual preferences and reveal the collective, normative foundations of the construction of career meanings.
