Annotation: The article presents the results of an experimental study aimed at studying the impact of project activities on the formation of ethno-cultural identity among students in rural schools. The purpose of the study was to identify the dynamics of changes in the four components of ethno-cultural identity – cognitive, emotional-evaluative, motivational-value, and behavioral – under the conditions of a specially organized pedagogical model. The use of a set of diagnostic methods allowed us to identify statistically significant positive changes in the level of ethno-cultural identity among the participants of the experimental group after the implementation of special pedagogical conditions. The data obtained confirm the feasibility of using project activities as a means of forming ethno-cultural identity in rural schools.
