Annotation: This study is a continuation of the work on the study of the experience of invisible stressors and is devoted to the description of the features of the retrospective perception of the Chernobyl accident by residents of the resettlement zone. It is shown that the respondents' image of what happened in Chernobyl on April 26, 1986 is quite fragmentary and is represented by information from their rumors, as well as partially from medical personnel. The reason for the stress for the respondents was the need to leave home, household, as well as forced migration and adaptation to a new place of residence. It is proposed to distinguish two levels of experiencing radiation danger: the first is visible and conscious, the second is not visible and not amenable to awareness.
Keywords: invisible stressors, radiation hazard, perception, experience, Chernobyl nuclear power plant, multiple - case study.
