Annotation: The article attempts to show the features of a small rural school, consider the social, psychological, pedagogical and organizational factors that influence the construction of the educational process in a small school, propose specific pedagogical tools and technologies to improve the effectiveness of teaching and educating rural schoolchildren in conditions of small classes, the educational potential of the educational process, the level of interaction between the school and society. Modern trends in the development of Russian society show that the strengthening of Russia and the development of its rural territories is impossible without the involvement of rural residents and educational institutions. A rural small-scale school becomes a center for uniting morally healthy members of society, maintaining stability and reducing social tension. Educational institutions play an important role in solving local problems by providing access to culture and education. Modern small schools face a decrease in the number of students, taking on additional social responsibilities. The most important approach determining the activity of a rural small-scale school is socio-cultural. Schools should serve as organizers of socio-cultural activity and support for children's organizations. The main goal of creating an educational space around an integrated school is the development of a creative personality capable of independent decisions. An important factor is the establishment of interaction between all participants in the educational process and social partners, which will effectively solve the problems of social formation of personality in rural conditions.
