Annotation: This article is dedicated to the life and professional development of Anton Dmitrievich Shilik, a teacher, scholar, and educational organizer who made a significant contribution to the development of pedagogical science and the education system in the Kostroma region. The article consistently covers the key stages of A.D. Shilik's biography: his childhood during the war and postwar period, his work in the Donbas, his service in the Soviet Army, and his studies at the N.A. Nekrasov Kostroma Pedagogical Institute. Particular attention is given to his teaching and administrative work at the university: from department assistant to dean of the Faculty of History and Pedagogy and head of the Department of Theory and History of Pedagogics. The article emphasizes A.D. Shilik's role in educating generations of teachers and organizers of educational work, and also notes his personal qualities—sincerity, understanding, and the ability to help others. Finally, it lists the state and departmental awards he received for his many years of service.
