- Annotation: The article presents the results of the study of the process of formation of ethnocultural identity of teenagers in the activities of a public association, characterizes the main areas of activity of teenagers, addressed to the cognitive, affective and behavioral component of ethnocultural identity. The author reveals the study of prerequisites, the growing relevance of psychological support of the life of the teenage community in the third season of the need to mobilize the capabilities of public associations as a result of citizenship and patriotism of the younger generation. The author appeals to the ideas and practical experience of the Komsorg camp in Kursk and Kostroma, to the theoretical ideas of the scientific school of L.I. Umansky and A.N. Lutoshkin. The author presents the results of her own empirical research conducted in adolescent public associations and in school adolescent classes using the social axiom method (M. Bond and K. Leung adapted by A.N. Tatarko, N.M. Lebedeva), the method of analyzing horizontal and vertical individualism-collectivism (V.I. Chirkov's method), as well as the method of “Assessing the positivity and certainty of each identity” (A.N. Tatarko, N.M. Lebedeva). The study was conducted in March 2025 (n = 180, respondents aged 14–16). The results obtained by the author indicate the productive influence of the life of public associations on supporting the ethnocultural identity of adolescents, developing a value-based attitude towards national history and culture. The analysis of the data obtained by the author allows us to talk about the advantages of involving adolescents in the public activities of associations, about special opportunities and conditions that ensure an effective influence on ensuring the ethnocultural identity of adolescents.
