- Annotation: The article presents a brief overview of age-related psychological characteristics of adolescents, an analysis of gender differences in the manifestation and relationship of emotional intelligence and aggression. The period of transition to another type of leading activity (intimate and personal communication), the onset of pubertal changes leave an imprint on the emotional component of life and social interaction. The development of emotional intelligence allows you to cope with aggressive reactions and constructively resolve conflict situations. The study used questionnaires by A. Bass-A. Darkie and N. Hall to identify motivational aggression and emotional intelligence, respectively. Factor analysis of the obtained data was carried out using the rotation of the matrix of correlation coefficients by the verimax normalized method. It is shown that there are gender differences in the relationships between the indicators of emotional intelligence and aggression in boys and girls, which is reflected both in the percentage contribution to the total variance and in the difference in the contribution to the factor loadings and the content of significant factors.
