- Annotation: The article discusses the concept of a collective in the pedagogical and socio-psychological traditions; notes the inadequacy of research into the socio-psychological characteristics of a collective in its socio-pedagogical interpretation; shows the importance of analyzing a collective as a small group in the context of social organizations; proposes to use the concept of "collectivity" to describe specific socio-psychological phenomena that arise in the process of interaction between people in collectives (in the socio-pedagogical interpretation); provides a working definition of it; highlights the main manifestations of collectivity in groups of this type (self-identification with the collective, features of joint activities in the collective, specifics of group communication in groups of this type, features of interpersonal relationships in the collective); identifies types of collectivity (collectivity as a form of everyday behavior, collectivity as a common activity, collectivity as an activity aimed at changing the group, collectivity as a network of relationships that encourage the individual to change, collectivity as an opportunity for personal manifestations of a person); discusses the problem of the relationship between collectivity and personality (as manifestations of personality). models of these relationships are proposed: the importance of the interests of the collective is higher than the importance of the interests of the individual, the importance of the individual interests of the individual is higher than the importance of collectivity, the equality of the importance of the collective and the personal, the distinction between the personal and the individual in the relationship between collectivity and the individual, the filling of the personal with the collective, the social; variants of “entering the collectivity” are named; questions are posed that require further discussion and experimental verification.
