- Annotation: The purpose of this article is to examine the content of geography textbooks approved for use in school through the prism of the gradual emergence of students' understanding of the importance of global problems of humanity and the cultivation of global responsibility for the present and future of the planet and humanity. The author attempts to trace how, through a system of tasks and material relating to various aspects of global problems, from the 5th grade it is possible to instill in schoolchildren elements of a responsible attitude to nature, and by the 9th grade to fully form the whole picture of the real state of things and the attitude of each student towards it. After analyzing the content and tasks after the paragraphs and thematic blocks, the author comes to the conclusion that the school content of textbooks is an ideal environment for the development of global responsibility of students to the global problems of humanity.
