Annotation: The development of social activity of primary school students is currently at the first, initial stage of its implementation. This fact objectively highlights the task of scientific substantiation and the possibility of adjusting the implementation of this direction of national policy. There is no doubt that the first step in this important direction should be the collection of information on this problem, concerning the views of the pedagogical community directly about the Eaglets of Russia program, which was the main purpose of this article. Since the content of the Eaglets of Russia program is aimed at the educational activities of teachers with primary school children, the development of their value orientations, taking into account all regional peculiarities and challenges of the modern world, it is the teachers' ideas about the Eaglets of Russia program itself that have become the subject of this study. The article presents the main results of a survey of 1984 primary school teachers of the Central Federal District, as a result of which teachers' awareness of the “Eaglets of Russia” program, positive and negative aspects of the program implementation both from the perspective of teachers and the management of educational institutions were determined. It is noted that these aspects require special attention in order to increase the effectiveness of the implementation of the program for the development of social activity in the Central Federal District, in particular, and in the territory of the Russian Federation as a whole. Disclosure and subsequent consideration of the identified features of the implementation of the "Eaglets of Russia" program in the central Federal District is an essential condition for optimizing educational activities in primary schools and within the whole country.
