Annotation: In the article, the author expresses his own position on the ideas formulated in the collective monograph, in the context of the existential development of the personality of the future teacher as an endless search for the meaning of pedagogical existence. The collective of authors of the monograph understands existential pedagogy as the pedagogy of helping a person to comprehend the meaning of life, to pass a reasonable, moral and full meaningful self-expression path, to achieve truly human heights. The pages of the work discuss such concepts of the methodological corpus as the philosophy and psychology of existentialism; freedom and education; patterns and principles; value meanings, existential choice; human individuality and its existential sphere; subjectivity of the student and its pedagogical support. In addition, the monograph widely covers the problems of methodological equipment of existential pedagogy: existential means of education, training; event approach, problems of self-realization of children in real and virtual space. The author of this article not only analyzes the content of the two-volume work, characterizing it as a promising publication in covering pedagogical problems, but also assesses the significance of the monographic material from the point of view of developing the ideas of existential self-determination of the future teacher, understood as the process and result of the search and choice by the individual of his own position, goals and means of self-realization in specific circumstances of life. In conclusion, it is emphasized that the analyzed work makes a significant contribution to the development of pedagogical science, and the fundamentals of existential pedagogy formulated by the authors' collective provide theoretical and methodological prerequisites for developing the concept of existential self-determination of the future teacher in the educational environment of a pedagogical university.
