Annotation: The main factor determining the effectiveness and success of any educational institution is its well-designed educational system. One of the main goals of any school is to educate an active, patriotic, independent, “self-aware” citizen. Consequently, the development and modeling of a new unique, “working” educational system becomes a key element of the organization of a modern educational institution. This article examines the model of the educational system “school of meanings”, describes the components of this system and their interaction. The school Media Center is a system-forming component and a comprehensive means of developing the educational system of an educational organization. Special attention is paid to the concept of “media education”. Indeed, the rapid expansion of information and telecommunication technologies, as well as their active introduction into modern education, pose the task of developing media education as a factor in the formation of the media culture of schoolchildren. The media center “School of Meanings” is focused on the subjective and semantic level of student's personality developmen school Media Center is a system-forming component and a comprehensive means of developing the educational system of an educational organization. The media center was a means not only for participants to master the basics of media and information security, but also allowed them to expand the boundaries.
