Annotation: The article actualizes the contradictions between the requirements of the university for the theoretical and practical-methodological preparation of a student for professional activity in an educational organization and the insufficient readiness of students to perform practice-oriented tasks based on practice, raises the question of effective ways and means of preparing students for industrial (pedagogical) practice. The results of the study demonstrate that students lack the practical skills and knowledge necessary for successful internship. To solve this problem, it is proposed to include in the curriculum a two-day practice-oriented seminar, which is held immediately before students go to practice in educational organizations. The article presents the experience of organizing, preparing and conducting this seminar. It was found that participation in the seminar allowed students to once again update and systematize the necessary knowledge for designing and conducting a combined lesson, as well as apply their knowledge in a safe environment, observing all necessary requirements. At the same time, it was noted that an important aspect in constructing the content of the seminar is its reliance on the goals and objectives of the upcoming practice, diagnostic results, as well as the requests of students, teachers and educators of the educational organization.
